Sangre de Drago: My husband and I were doing a project at our house using a utility knife. While he was trying to cut something with the knife, it slipped and stabbed me in the forearm. Codex update.
Codex is made up of many standards for every aspect of food. One of these, its Vitamin and Minerals Guideline (VMG), was approved in Europe in July 2005. CORAL CALCIUM – Helps win against cancer, heart disease and more
Two of our friends who recently started taking Coral Calcium as they were feeling and looking frail, found a return to a feeling of strength and felt they were on their way back to good health. For one, her normal muscle mass returned. For our other friend, Coral Calcium ended her search for a way to change her body pH from acid to alkaline. The world’s oldest man, Shigechiyo Izun, was 115 when he was interviewed and agreed to a medical examination. Results were fantastic. It was also found that most of the people on the island off Okinawa which was his home lived to at least a healthy 95 years of age. The island’s water contains an abundance of calcium so that the people there are drinking at least 1000 milligrams daily. Okinawan Island water contains a 2 to 1 ratio of calcium to magnesium which has long been held to be ideal for maximum absorption, the magnesium helping the calcium to stay in solution in the body or go into the bones and not get tucked away in joints or kidneys. NURSING HOME BLUES
I drove down to Sarasota to visit my 91 year old mother who is in a nursing home there. She is there because she had become very lame and weak in the legs and fell down and broke her neck. She never did take health supplements to begin with because she had Medicare insurance and that didn’t cover supplements. I would always send her some and she just wouldn’t take them. Her neck healed up so she was out of the neck brace in 3 months.
To continue the story, the nursing home she is in is one of the most highly rated in the whole United States. It is four-star rated for their good service and care of the patients, and it is also a very plush nursing home. But it so happens that Mother was more crippled up than ever before and was wheelchair bound when I visited her a few days ago. She also couldn’t remember anything anymore. She also had terrible low back pain, had become more hard of hearing, and her eyesight was worse. So I got the blues.
I looked around at all the other patients, and I even ate with Mom and them in the dining room.. Almost all the patients were in wheelchairs, couldn’t remember things, and had hearing loss. Because of the memory and hearing loss, it was hard having conversations with them. They ate like birds, and so did my mother -- not enough to put in your eye. So I went to my mom’s nurse and got a list of any drugs and health supplements they were giving her. Keep in mind the basics that all people need for good health: VITAMINS, MINERALS, FRIENDLY FLORA, ENZYMES, ANTIOXIDANTS, and ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS. Keep in mind that minerals work without vitamins, but vitamins don’t work without minerals. Keep in mind that minerals work when you get a formula with all of them, including the trace minerals, and they don’t work singly, they need the whole mineral complex to work. Also keep in mind that you NEVER take calcium without magnesium. This being said, here is what they were giving my mom:
Vitamins, Calcium, iron, a stool softener for constipation, and a drug for heartburn. Now I understood why mom was getting more and more crippled. If they had given the magnesium along with the calcium, then the calcium would go into the bones and teeth instead of allowing calcium deposits to deposit throughout her body, crippling her and giving her low back pain. The magnesium also would have caused some strength in the muscles in her legs so she could still walk. With the magnesium she probably wouldn’t have had to have the stool softener because magnesium loosens the bowels. If she had had a good mineral like Coral Calcium (as an example), she would have had the full complex of minerals including all the trace minerals . . . as Coral Calcium is not only Calcium. If they had been giving her a full mineral supplement she probably would not have needed the iron. If they had been giving her enzymes and friendly flora she wouldn’t have needed the drug for heartburn and would also have had all the other benefits of enzymes and friendly flora. If she had been given antioxidants, such as Alpha Lipoic Acid (also known as Thioctic Acid), she would not be suffering from memory loss or failing eyesight. I told mother to eat fish twice a week to get her essential fatty acids (but she won’t remember) until she gets those antioxidants. Well, I got the nurse to get approval for some of these things, and she was very cooperative and got the approval from the doctor right away. I have more work to do on it yet. I gave Mom some of the CALM (Magnesium) I had with me and in just one dose her back pain eased off.
They were not giving her all the correct supplements because her blood tests did not show that they were needed. But this is a fallacy!
